After launching “PM4ESD™” last November through the Project “Training for European Sustainable Tourism” (a new management methodology for public authorities, private organizations, professionals, and stakeholders involved in the tourism sector), the training calendar 2013 is now available.
The first course, free of charge, will take place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Évora (Alentejo, Portugal) from 25th to 27th of February. The participants should have a tourism qualification or at least a 5 year experience on the tourism industry, or to represent an organisation willing to contribute to boost the sustainability of the tourism sector within your territory.
After the completion of the course, obtaining certification is possible (although not compulsory) by examination. The exam session will take place the last day of the training; the examination body is APMG which will release the PM4ESD Foundation certificate to successful participants. This is an official procedure which entitles a 120€ fee at participants’ expenses.
This initiative is funded by the European Union Life Long learning Programme through the project Training for European Sustainable Tourism (T4EST) managed by the project consortium partners: Frigento Municipality, JLAG, Leeds Metropolitan University and NECSTouR.
