On the 6th and 7th June 2014 the “Cultural and historic heritage used to develop tourism” will take place in Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Representatives of national ministries, universities and institutions, tourism organizations, travel agencies and museums will participate in the event.
The goal of the conference is to establish tighter relationships between organizations, institutes and individuals working in the fileds that are either directly or indirectly related to the development and promotion of tourism products based on cultural and historic heritage.
The main topics of the conference will be:
- Cultural heritage as a driver of tourism and economic development;
- Successful tourism examples from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region;
- Harmonizing elements of cultural and historic heritage protection with those of sustainable tourism.
FEST, Foundation for European Sustainable Tourism, will take part to the conference to introduce PM4SD™, methodology for a successful design and management of sustainable tourism projects.
The practical workshop on “Identifying Bosnia-Herzegovina cultural historic locations/potential to develop into tourism product” will enrich the programme.
The event is organized by USAID – Sida FIRMA Project in cooperation with Regional Cooperation Council, UNESCO regional office and Cultural Heritage without Borders.
