Cross-border cooperation within the Mediterranean area– Call for proposal for strategic projects launched

The call for proposal for strategic projects under the multilateral cross-border cooperation programme “ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007/2013″ is officially open!

Project proposals shall refer to one of the following priorities:
Priority 1
– Agro-food industry
– Sustainable tourism
– Integrated coastal zone management
Priority 2
– Water management
– Waste treatment and recycling
– Solar energy

Eligible countries under the Programme are:

  • EU Mediterranean Countries: Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain;
  • Mediterranean Partner Countries: Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Authority,   Syria, Tunisia.

Partnerships shall represent a minimum of four countries and shall include at least one EU Mediterranean country and one Mediterranean partner country.

 

The total EU contribution available for this call for strategic projects is  € 62.400.000 subdivided as follows: Priority 1 € 37.440.000 – Priority 2 € 24.960.000; the EU co-financing rate is 90%.

The project total eligible costs must be within a minimum of 2.000.000 euro and a maximum of 5.000.000 euro. The planned duration of a project must be between 24 and 36 months
