On September, 30, the results of the PM4ESD project (Project Management for European Sustainable Development) will be presented during a public conference that will take place in Portici (Naples) at Villa Savonarola. Policy makers, academics and stakeholders will discuss about “Governance and Project Management” as key factors for sustainable tourism. The Vice – President of the European Parliament, Gianni Pittella, the Member of the European Parliament Andrea Cozzolino as well as the Vice – President of Campania Region, Giuseppe De Mita and the Mayor of Portici, Enzo Cuomo will participate to the event.
On that occasion, the Manual on the PM4ESD methodology for designing and managing tourism and cultural projects will be presented to the public. The Manual will be available in five languages: English, German, Italian, Polish and Turkish; it includes the forewords of Carlo Fidanza, Member of the European Parliament and Rapporteur on the new political framework on tourism in Europe and Christiane Dabdoub Nasser, Team Leader for the Euromed Heritage Programme.
The conference will be also an occasion to present the upcoming “Foundation for European Sustainable Tourism” (FEST). Through FEST, Jlag, the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Frigento will manage, disseminate and certify the PM4ESD methodology and the related trainings. The Foundation will be located in Edinburgh and it will have a representative office in Brussels.
