We are pleased to participate as FEST (The Foundation for European Sustainable Tourism (FEST) as partner of The African Diaspora Network in Belgium (ADN) to the lab session entitled “How to leverage the benefits of culture for sustainable development?” which will be held in Brussels (Tour & Taxis) on 3rd June from 18h00 to 19h15 in the framework of the European Development Days (EDD15), the leading EU forum on development cooperation. FEST coordinates together with Roots events and UNESCO the roundtable: Cultural Heritage and Sustainable tourism. 

We wish to invite all our partners to join us and contribute to the debate with their experiences, vision, strategies around the topic 

Key questions for the debate:

– What is the role of cultural heritage for empowering communities and ensuring sustainable tourism and development? Keynote Speaker: Peter Debrine, Senior Project Officer Sustainable Tourism at UNESCO

– Which are the policies, strategies and actions to be implemented when planning for tourism and heritage management? Keynote Speaker: Silvia Barbone, Director of FEST
