Cycle Tourism in Europe: meeting opportunity for developing routes throughout Europe

EuroVelo is a European cycle route network which seeks to offer a sustainable Trans-European Network. It currently consists of well over 45,000 km of bike paths and thousands of kilometers more are planned – when completed it will total over 70,000 km.  The development and operation of the EuroVelo routes is carried out by national, regional and local governments, commercial service providers and NGOs. The aim is to establish an official National EuroVelo Coordination Centre (NECC) to lead on this work in every country through which EuroVelo routes pass. This year’s National EuroVelo NECC and Coordinators (Cs) will meet on Monday 10th June in Vienna – the day before Velo-city 2013 kicks off.

The event is open to representatives of all NECC/Cs and organisations interested in becoming NECC/Cs, as well as others involved in developing the routes across Europe.

People interested in attending may contact the ECF using the Contact page on this website
