On Wednesday, April 27 the European Commission launched the 2011 call for proposals under the initiative CIP Eco-innovation First Application and Market Replication Projects (CIP Eco-innovation).
CIP Eco-innovation supports projects on the first application or market replication of eco-innovative techniques, products, services or practices of EU relevance which have already been technically demonstrated with success but which, because of residual risks, have not yet entered the market. Main priority areas are: material recycling, sustainable building products, food and drink sector, water and greening businesses.
This call is addressed to all legal persons that are based in eligible countries ,but the priority will be given to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and private beneficiaries. The maximum duration of an action is 36 months. The indicative total amount available for this call is EUR 36.000.000: this means that among 45 and 50 project proposals will be financed. The EU financial contribution is 50% of the total eligible costs per action. Closing date for submission of project proposals is 8September 2011 before 17.00 (Brussels local time).
