The European Commission would like to gather the views of the main ‘users’ of the common visa policy: individuals, interest groups, advocacy groups, think tanks and professional organisations. The scope is to hear from as broad a range of users as possible, as it is important to get views and input from all stakeholders. There is a particular interst in in learning about the experience of travellers who have applied for a Schengen visa in the past 5 years.
The aim of the public consultation is to gather the views and concerns of all interested citizens and organisations regarding the process of applying for Schengen visas. Your input will help the Commission develop proposals for better balancing improved migration, security and border management with the benefits of facilitated visa and visa-free travel (e.g. trade, tourism, people-to-people contacts).
Consultation period: 24 November 2017 – 2 February 2018. Link here.
