The European Commission has launched a new call in the framework of the CALYPSO Programme. The overall objective of the call is to support tourism-related public authorities to team up with private stakeholders to be able to undertake in the forthcoming future trans-national low season exchanges in the CALYPSO target groups (such as seniors, youths, people with disability, and families with low income). In this perspective, the specific objectives of this call for proposal are:
- support public-private partnerships in setting up, developing and/or strengthening CALYPSO structures in specific countries;
- provide networking opportunities enhancing collaboration between public authorities and private stakeholders, in order to promote low season transnational exchanges in any (one or more) of the four CALYPSO target groups;
- illustrate how specific project deliverables could be linked to the use of the CALYPSO web platform, as a means to facilitate the continuation of projects beyond the co-financing period;
- conduct relevant studies that could improve the knowledge base and eventually facilitate low season exchanges.
The total EU contribution available for this call is € 450,000.00 with a financial support limited to a maximum of 75% of the total eligible cost. The Maximum EU co-financing ceiling per project is € 150,000.00.Three or four projects will be co-financed.
Partnerships must involve a minimum of three countries with at least two public authorities from different countries, and at least one of the partners should be a private stakeholder. Eligible countries are: EU 27 Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Croatia, Turkey, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Israel.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 11th of July 2012.
